I really liked the Jenny Casey and Jacob's Ladder series from Elizabeth Bear, so I'll try more of her books, but I won't be finishing this series. But McMurtry is an exceptional writer and Patsy is just more interesting than Haimey, even though Patsy is a pretty basic white girl. A big chunk of those thousand pages were inside Patsy Carpenter's head. Earlier this year, I read 'Moving On' by Larry McMurtry.
